Friday morning a Washington senior signed on to run track at the next level.

Lincoln Kleese made it official that he will continue to wear the orange and black and attend Wartburg College this fall.  Kleese tells KCII Sports Wartburg was the perfect fit for his track career and his exercise science major. “When I visited there in August it was an outstanding campus and the coach talked to me about the track program and I was hooked after that. I visited a couple more times and in November I knew it was the right place for me.”

The senior finished out his Demon career last weekend at the state track meet competing in the 110m hurdles, long jump, 4x100m, and shuttle hurdle relay.

Kleese and his fellow seniors will graduate today from Washington High School.
