A new K9 officer is joining the Washington Police Department. Police Chief Greg Goodman stated staff are traveling to Indiana this week to get the dog. Officer Seth Adam and the K9 will take a six-week training course. The department raised over $21,000 in donations for the new officer. The total cost for the dog, training and a kennel is about $18,400. Any additional funds will be used for future costs associated with the K9 program.
