Former Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk and University of Northern Iowa football standout Austin Errthum is taking the next step to making an NFL roster.

Errthum will attend a minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs to try to earn a spot on the team. In his final season at UNI Errthum was 24 of 29 with a long of 46 yards on field goals, hit all 35 extra point attempts and was the kickoff specialist for the Panthers. Those stats earned him second team All-American honors. He will travel to Kansas City in May for a weekend try out.
