It was another successful meet for the Washington middle school boys track team last week at Highland.

The 8th grade boys finished first out of eight teams with 169 points to best Mid-Prairie’s 140. Ten events claimed top honors for the Demons including Ethan Patterson in the 100m (12.31), 400m (54.83), and high jump (6’0’’); Cameron Vongonya in the 800m (2:36.01); Elijah Morris in the 1600m (5:29.59); 4x200m (1:47.73); 4x400m (4:29.19); 4x800m (10:55.80); sprint medley (1:53.13); and shuttle hurdle relay team (1:07.57).

The 7th grade boys placed seventh at the same meet. The 4x200m relay had the best finish in fourth (2:01), Lukus Rickey was fifth in the 800m (2:45), distance medley in fifth (5:07), Teague Mayer sixth in the discus (87’0’’), Alec Ulin sixth in 100m (13.69) and 200m (28.48), and Lane Schrock sixth in 1600m (6:02).

The Demons close the season Tuesday at Mount Pleasant for the Southeast Conference Meet.
