The No. 5 ranked Iowa Mennonite School boys soccer team travels north on Thursday to meet the No. 2 Iowa City Regina Runnin’ Regals.

IMS comes in with a 6-1 overall record, winners of four in a row. They are ranked No. 5 in class 1A in the latest poll from the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association. In their last match they shut out the Wapello Indians 6-0 behind a Louis Etienne hat trick and a clean sheet from Blake Bontrager in goal. On the season, IMS is led by Etienne with 14 goals, seventh most in class 1A. Jacob Boller has the team lead with six assists. In goal, Blake Bontrager has an 86% save percentage ninth in Iowa in class 1A among goal keepers who have seen at least 30 shots.

No. 2 Iowa City Regina comes into the match with an overall record of 7-3. They were beaten by No. 1 Waterloo Columbus 4-0 at a weekend tournament at Davenport Assumption, snapping a five match winning streak. On the season the Regals are led by Alec Wick who has scored 15 goals, fifth most in class 1A. Wick and Kieler Brown lead the way with four assists each. In goal, Josh Dutchik has stopped 56 of 69 shots for an 81% save percentage. Action begins tonight at 5p.m. at Iowa City Regina High School.
