The Sigourney girls’ track team hit the road to BGM Thursday night and finished third out of seven teams

The Savages garnered 97 points and Belle Plaine won the championship with 120.5. Five events claimed first place honors led by Summer Barthelman in the 100m (13.27) and long jump (14’9.5’’). Also winning was Madelyn Hornback in the 200m (26.34), Rylee Goldman in the 400m (1:09.91), and Kaylee Weber in the discus (92’2’’). Other top finishes included Weber second in the shot put (32’4’’), the 4x100m relay team placing second (55.84), Sloane Magill third in the 100m hurdles (17.52), and Hannah Lucas third in the long jump (4’6’’).

Sigourney gets back on the track for a home meet on Tuesday.
