The Washington girls’ golf team hits the links tonight when they welcome Ottumwa to town.

After a cancellation last week the Demons are set for their first home meet of 2019. Kiki Guo has established herself early as the team’s number one golfer, averaging 38.5 strokes per nine-holes through two meets. Josie Tanner is not far behind averaging 41, Emily Waite with 50, and Carly Burlingame with 53. The Demons’ 182.5 stroke team average ranks third in class 3A. This is the first competition of the year for Ottumwa and they bring back their top golfer in Jaden Bradford. The senior averaged 48.25 strokes last season.

The meet gets underway at 3:30 p.m. this evening at Washington Golf and Country Club.
