A documentary focusing on the importance of early education will be shown as part of the Southeast Iowa Childhood Summit in Mount Pleasant. The summit features a showing of the documentary “No Small Matter.” The film highlights the impact that our young children will have on the world, and the importance of quality childcare and education. DHLW Early Childhood Area Tasha Beghtol says the film puts a spotlight on an important issue, “If you can really focus on quality education, whether that be a childcare setting or a pre-school setting, if you can focus on quality in those early ages, the amount of return later in life is just profound.” The screening begins at 2 p.m. Friday at the Main Street Cinema.
