The Mid-Prairie, Washington, and WACO girls’ track teams competed at the Williamsburg Invitational on Tuesday.

The Golden Hawks headlined the area schools in fourth out of nine teams with 68 points while Solon took care of business with 150 points. It was another stellar performance by Marie Hostetler winning the 800m in a time of 2:24.71 and beating the entire field by over a minute and a half in the 3000m crossing the finish line in 10:14.76. Freshman Mitzi Evans wasn’t far behind in the 800m placing third in 2:31.78. Other top finishes included Amber Swart second in the 200m (27.29), the sprint medley relay team in second (1:56.94), and Tori Boyse third in the discus (112’7’’).

Washington was seventh with 28 points. Jenah Greiner won the long jump by a quarter of an inch with a leap of 15’10.75’’. The senior was also third in the 100m dash (13.53). The 4x200m relay team nabbed fourth place honors (1:55.71).

WACO rounded out the scoring with four points to finish ninth. The shuttle hurdle relay team was fifth (1:19.56) and Grace Conwell was fifth in the 400m hurdles (1:17.65).
