Members of the United Prespyterian Home and local residents filled the Michael Moore Family Dining Room to view a presentation on the home’s history Wednesday afternoon. The presentation highlighted how the UP Home has grown to a 35 acre campus serving 225 residents and employing over 120 people. The afternoon began with a performance from the choir that transitioned into a slideshow presentation, and a congregational version of Amazing Grace.

There were also interviews with former CEO’s Dick Colby and Mike Moore. Colby highlights what made his time at the UP Home so special, “I think my most special memory is the people. There was such a diverse number of people here and wonderful people that I got personally involved in. I can’t imagine a better group of people.”

The historical pageant also featured a skit that highlighted some of the challenges the home has gone through over the last seven decades.
