The Washington boys’ track team took to the outdoors for the first time this season yesterday, taking fifth place overall in the Class A division at the Steve Roth Relays.

The Demons finished with an overall team score of 63 points behind a few notable finishes.  Ethan Hunt took second in the 400 with a time of 53.41. Evan Horak came in fourth in the 3200, finishing in 10:54.06.  The 800 sprint medley team of  Hunt, Cade Hennigan, Spencer Sotelo and Jacob Miller took third in a field of seven, finishing .12 seconds out of second place and .34 seconds out of first. Lincoln Kleese and Sotelo finished second and third in the long jump, respectively, finishing with just three quarters of an inch separating them.

The Demons’ next meet comes on Monday when they head down to West Burlington.  Monday’s action is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
