Here is a recap of late action from Friday at the state wrestling tournament in Des Moines and a preview of what’s ahead Saturday:

At 182lbs No. 2 Tristin Westphal of Washington beat No. 3 Nolan Harsh of ADM by 6-4 sudden victory. Westphal will wrestle No. 1 Kyler Fisher of Southeast Valley Gowrie for a state title Saturday night.

At 195lbs for Mid-Prairie, No. 10 Isaac Boucher knocked off No. 5 Caleb Olson of Webster City by 16-9 decision and then topped Joel Osborn of Humboldt 12-9. He will continue in consolation action Saturday against No. 4 Dalton Chipp of Hampton Dumont.

At 138lbs for Columbus-Winfield-Mt. Union No. 3 Jarod Kadel was beaten in the semifinals by No. 5 Chase McLaren of Atlantic 7-4. He will face No. 7 Jayden Peyton of West Delaware in the consolations Saturday.

At 145lbs Highland’s Brady Hahn was beaten in the semifinals by No. 3 Spencer Griffin of Emmetsburg by fall. Hahn will be in consolation action Saturday against No. 5 Duke Kyle of Missouri Valley

At 113lbs Mason Dye of Sigourney-Keota was beaten in the semifinals by No. 2 Beau Klingensmith of Woodbury Central 18-11. Dye will wrestle No. 3 Jakob Whitinger of Nashua Plainfield in the consolation round Saturday.
