The Lone Tree and Columbus basketball teams will meet up in Lone Tree tonight for a Superconference doubleheader.

The Lion girls come into this KCII-area match-up at 2-14, with one of those wins coming by 21 points against these Wildcats back on Dec. 21.  Madelyn Jaque led the Lions with 14 points in that one, while no one scored more than five points for Columbus.  The Wildcats will be looking for their first win of the year tonight.

Lone Tree (5-8) took the earlier meeting with Columbus (1-13) on the boys’ side as well, with the Lions trouncing the Wildcats 83-30.  Lone Tree’s Harmon Miller alone was just nine points shy of tying with Columbus as a team with a career-high 21 points off the bench, and Keegan Edwards followed that with 14.  The Wildcats were led by Justus Lekwa, who put up 10.
