The Columbus girls basketball team is still looking for their first win on the season after suffering a 52-35 setback Friday at the hands of the Cardinal Comets in the Southeast Iowa Superconference girls shoot out.

Things were tight early with Cardinal holding a 15-11 lead after one quarter and the Comets up 28-21 at the half. Cardinal continued to methodically pull away in the second half, outscoring the Wildcats by matching 12-7 scores in the third and fourth quarters to seal the win. The Wildcats are now 0-16 on the year as they get ready to face Lone Tree Thursday.
