The Lone Tree wrestling team went to the Southeast Iowa Superconference tournament on Saturday, with the Lions taking 13th out of 13 in team scores.

The team scores are a bit skewed, as there were only three guys to get scores from.  Will Hotz did not place in the 160 weight class, pinning his first opponent but losing his two subsequent matches.  Bryce Thompson continued his dominance at 106, only losing in the quarters to the number two wrestler in Class 2A in Burlington Notre Dame’s Blaine Frazier.  Tim Mills went in the 195, taking second place by winning his first match by an 8-3 decision and losing in the championship via pin.

The Lions will head to West Branch on Saturday for sectionals.
