Sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and much more will be on display at the Washington Public Library for Fiber Arts February. There will be a variety of programs for all ages to expand their fiber arts experience. It all kicks off Friday, February 1st, with a spinning demonstration during the usual Sticks and Strings meeting at noon. Librarian LeAnn Kunz shares a workshop will be held Saturday to teach adults how to make little felt books, “A unique little felt book from colored felt, and ribbons, and buttons. And it can be used to store sewing needles or it could just be a real special gift for a book lover. They’re very tiny, they’re very cute.” Participants can also bring their own beads and buttons to add on. A family-friendly activity called Yarntangles will be February 9th. Families can work together to create a yarn painting. For a full schedule and to register for programs contact the Washington Public Library.
