The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls basketball teams make the trip to Camanche tonight to take on the Indians.

The Golden Hawk girls stand at 10-5 on the year after a 54-47 win over Tipton on Tuesday. The Golden Hawks were led by Maddie Nonnenmann with 16 points. For the season, Mid-Prairie is led by Shae Becker, scoring 14 points per game, fifth best in the River Valley Conference. Becker also leads the Golden Hawks on the glass with 97 rebounds, eighth most in the RVC. Kessa Jones leads the Golden Hawks with 34 assists, seventh in the River Valley.

Camanche comes into the game with an overall record of 6-9. Last game for the Lady Indians they were beaten by Cascade 51-34. For the season, Camanche is led by Madi Parson, scoring 12 points per game, seventh most in the River Valley. Parson leads the River Valley Conference with 169 rebounds. Parson is also the team leader with 48 assists, fifth most in the RVC. These two teams met a season ago with Camanche taking a 79-43 win.

The Mid-Prairie boys come into the night having won three straight, their most recent victory a 71-67 win over Tipton in overtime Tuesday. In the victory the Hawks were led by Cale Robertson’s 19 points, Brad Tornow with 18 and Tom Butters with 16 points and 17 rebounds. For the year Butters and Robertson both pace the Hawks at 14 points per game eighth in the River Valley Conference. Butters leads the state of Iowa on the glass with 176 rebounds. Brad Tornow leads Mid-Prairie and is seventh in the state with 81 assists.

Camanche enters the game with an overall record of 11-2. Last time the Indians took the floor they fell to Cascade 54-47. Caleb Delzell posted 22 points in the loss. Cameron Soenksen leads the Indians for the year scoring 18 a game, third most in the RVC. Caleb Delzell leads the River Valley North with 73 assists. Delzell also has the team lead for the Indians with 118 rebounds, second in the north. These two teams met a year ago with the Indians taking a 77-56 win.

Action begins tonight at 5p.m. at Camanche High School.
