The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team had a winning night on the road in River Valley Conference action Thursday when they traveled to North Cedar.

The Golden Hawks won a pair of duals at the quadrangular taking down Cascade and North Cedar, but falling to Anamosa. In their win over Cascade the Hawks beat the Cougars 49-12. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from David Murray at 145 by fall, Mason Hartley at 152 by 6-3 decision, Cael Garvey at 160 by fall, Cory Allen at 170 by major decision, Isaac Boucher at 220 by fall and Gannon Callahan at 285 by fall.

Mid-Prairie’s win over North Cedar came by a 48-18 score. The Golden Hawks got wins in contested matches from Gannon Callahan at 285 by fall.

The Golden Hawks were beaten by Anamosa 47-26. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from Dallas Miller at 126 by fall, Cory Allen at 170 by major decision, Colton Allen at 182 by major decision, Josh Wallington at 195 by fall, and Isaac Boucher at 220 by fall. With the 2-1 night, Mid-Prairie’s overall dual record now stands at 7-12 for the season. They will next be in action Saturday when they travel to WACO for a tournament.
