The Lone Tree girls basketball team got in the win column for the first time this season in their final game before the Holiday break, taking down Columbus 48-27.

It was a defensive battle early with Lone Tree holding a 4-2 lead after one quarter. The Lions took control with a 14-5 run that lasted the entire second quarter to grow their advantage to 18-7 at the half. The Lions put together another run out of the locker room, this time 20-8 that lasted the entire third period to go up 38-15 and put the game out of reach. Lone Tree is now 1-9 on the year while Columbus falls to 0-10.
