With the first half of the season in the rear-view mirror, the WACO wrestling team rides a winning duels record into the new year.

As a team, the Warriors are currently sitting at 8-4 in duels throughout the season with six more duels to go before sectionals.  On top of that, they’ve also had plenty of individual success.

Three guys come into 2019 with four losses or less: Jonah Clark sits at 20-3 in the 120 weight class, with one of his losses coming against Sigourney-Keota’s Mason Dye (ranked fifth in class 1A by the Predicament).  Two other wrestlers, Jalen Collins in the 126 and Kade McKinney at the heavyweight spot, are sitting at 19-4 on the season so far.

Their next action will come on Saturday when they take to the Van Buren Invitational.
