The WACO basketball teams took to the road on Tuesday to face off against Cardinal, with both teams picking up the win.The girls got their first win of the year by a 59-45 score.  They went into the halftime break down by nine, but stormed back and outscored the Comets 42-18 in the second half to get the win.

No comeback was necessary on the boys’ side, as it was all WACO from the get-go.  The Warriors got out to a 45-14 lead at halftime and would score 21 more in the third quarter, and it was pretty much clock ball from there.  Nik Coble was seemingly back to full strength for the Warriors, notching a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The next action for the Warrior basketball teams comes at home on Friday against Central Lee.  The girls’ game is set to begin at 6, with the boys’ game to follow.
