The Washington cross country teams competed in the Timm Lamb Cross Country Invitational in Fort Madison this past Thursday, with both the boys and the girls taking fifth place in team scores.

Evan Horak finished top five for the third straight meet, taking fourth place with a time of 17.34.  Freshman Lance Sobaski was second on the team with an 18th place overall finish in 18.57.

On the girls’ side of things, Claire Horak took first on the team, finishing in 13th with a time of 23.09.  Kelsey Pacha came in a place below at 14th, finishing nine seconds behind Horak.

Their next meet will be at 4:30 Tuesday at Mount Pleasant High School.
