One person was sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle wreck east of Ainsworth Wednesday.

According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office 28-year-old Bradley Nicholson of Cedar Rapids was driving a Nissan Altima eastbound on Highway 92 at about 4:50 p.m. when he pulled over to the south onto the Washington-Louisa County Road. Nicholson then attempted to turn around and go westbound on Highway 92 when he pulled out in front of 26-year-old Matthew McAfee of Riverside who was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound. McAfee braked and attempted to avoid hitting Nicholson by going into the westbound lane. McAfee hit Nicholson on the driver’s side. Nicholson was transported by Louisa County Ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Louisa County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus Junction Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
