Several area softball athletes were chosen to represent their school and conference in the annual Senior All-Star Game Monday at Wilton High School.

The event is a softball doubleheader that pits the best of the Southeast Iowa Superconference against the best of the River Valley Conference. The RVC beat the Superconference in both ends of the doubleheader by scores of 5-3 and 13-2. Area athletes that competed included Avery Blauvelt from Iowa Mennonite School, Murphy Beinhart and Brylee Carolan from Highland, and Lauren Jamison, Dakota Haines and Maci Richardson of Winfield-Mt. Union. This is the 11th year for the event.
