The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team travels to Iowa City Regina High School Tuesday to face the rivalRegals in the district semifinal round of the class 2A playoffs.

The Hawks have an overall record of 12-16 on the year, after a 4-2 win over Williamsburg in the opening round of the postseason. For the year, the Hawks are hitting .210, led by Brad Tornow with a .303 average. On the mound the Hawks have a team ERA of 3.77, led by Tornow with a 4-4 record and 1.69 ERA in 45 innings of work.

Iowa City Regina comes into the game with an overall mark of 24-7 on the year. They beat Mount Vernon 11-1 in their regular season finale. On the season the Regals are hitting .363 as a team, led by Ryne Schooley with a .406 average. On the hill, Regina has a team ERA of 2.36, led by Jayden Kies with a 4-0 record in 20 innings with a 0.35 ERA.

These two teams met twice during the regular season with Regina sweeping the season series with a 13-0 win and a 4-2 win in eight innings.
