The name of the man killed in a two-vehicle wreck in Keokuk County Monday has been released.

According to the Iowa State Patrol 93-year-old Wayne R. Parsons of Richland died after he failed to yield from a stop sign and was struck by a semi. At 3:21 p.m. a semi and a car collided at Highway 78 and 315th Avenue just south of Richland. Parsons was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken by ambulance to the Keokuk County Hospital.

Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Transportation, and Richland Fire and EMS. The accident remains under investigation.
