The Mid-Prairie baseball and softball teams are back on the diamond Tuesday for conference doubleheaders with the Durant Wildcats.

The Mid-Prairie softball team enters the fray with a 3-11 overall record after falling in a pair of contests to No. 7 Iowa City Regina on Monday. For the season the Golden Hawks are hitting .324, led by Rylee Vercande and her .485 mark. In the circle, Mid-Prairie has a team ERA of 4.60, led by Cassidy Rourke at 3.83 with a 2-7 record in 49 innings.

Durant comes into the game with an overall record of 15-2. Last time out they swept Wilton Monday 2-0 and 4-1. The Wildcats are ranked No. 1 in class 2A in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Durant is hitting .360 as a team led by Kamryn Meyer with a .431 mark. In the circle the Wildcats have a 1.03 team ERA led by Jenna Lawson with a 5-1 record and 0.95 ERA in 44 innings. These two teams met in a pair of games a season ago with Durant taking two wins 6-1 and 5-0.

The Mid-Prairie baseball team enters play with a 5-8 overall record. The Golden Hawks have dropped eight in a row including a sweep at the hands of Regina Monday in Wellman 13-0 and 4-2. For the year the Hawks are hitting .222 as a team, led by Cale Robertson and his .318 average. On the hill Mid-Prairie has a collective 2.63 ERA led by Brad Tornow with a 3-2 overall record and 0.67 ERA in 21 innings.

Durant comes into Tuesday with an overall record of 5-10. The Wildcats were swept by Wilton Monday 7-2 and 4-0. On the season Durant is hitting .325 as a team, led by Mason Compton with a .441 average. The Wildcat pitching staff has a 4.30 team ERA led by Nate Dierickx with a 2-0 record and 0.49 ERA in 14 innings. These two teams met a year ago, splitting a doubleheader with Mid-Prairie winning 7-6 and the Wildcats 11-1.
