The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team is on the diamond Monday for a Memorial Day date with the Keokuk Chiefs.

The Hawks are hot to start the season, standing at 3-0 after a doubleheader sweep of West Liberty on the road Thursday 9-8 and 5-0. On the year the Hawks are hitting .273 led by Keaton Duwa at .625. On the hill, the Hawks have a collective 1.47 ERA led by Brad Tornow, the Golden Hawk ace has a 2-0 record with an ERA of zero.

Keokuk enters tonight with an overall record of 2-3. They were swept by Burlington in a doubleheader Friday 8-0 and 16-4. On the year the Chiefs are hitting .241, led by Jake Jones at .467. On the mound the Chiefs have a 6.77 ERA led by Jones with his zero ERA and 1-0 record. These two teams last met in 2014 with Keokuk scoring a doubleheader sweep.
