Three area girls golf teams begin the tournament trail Monday when they travel to Marengo for the class 1A regional tournament.

Iowa Mennonite finished 10th at the Superconference Championship meet in Fort Madison last week. They were led by Gretta Rempel and her round of 105. On the season, IMS has a 494 average per 18-holes, led by Rempel and her 105. Other scoring averages for IMS include Lara Kliewer 109, Hannah Peters 138 and Kennedy Roth 142.

Highland was 11th at the Superconference Championship meet with a 505 team score. The Huskies were led by Kayla Cerny with a 119. On the year Highland has a 505 average per 18 holes, led by Cerny at 119. Other scoring averages for Highland include Charlie Aicher 121, Emily Streb 126, Shantall Avandano 139, and Sarah Schultz 156.

Lone Tree was 12th at the Superconference meet with a team score of 520. Karli Burr was the top player for the Lions with a 116. On the year Lone Tree has a 520 scoring average in 18 hole events, led by Burr at 116. Other scoring averages for the Lady Lions include Abby Buckman 123, Bailey Pierson 136, and Heather Geiger 145.

Other teams at Marengo include Iowa Valley, Calamus Wheatland, BGM, Durant, Montezuma and North Mahaska.
