The Mid-Prairie girls soccer team is back on the pitch Friday when they host Mediapolis in a non-conference tilt.

The Golden Hawks enter play with an overall record of 1-1 on the season after a 6-2 loss to Monticello last week. On the year the Hawks are led by Katie Frantz with three goals. Mackenzie Bean leads the Golden Hawk defense with four saves.

Mediapolis enters play with an overall record of 2-2. They fell to Burlington, Notre Dame 8-0 Tuesday. On the year MEPO is led by Mackenzie Springsteen with seven goals, most in the Southeast Iowa Superconference. Fernanda Brown leads the Bullettes and the Superconference with seven assists. Sarah Conrad leads the Mediapolis defense with 18 saves.

These two teams met last season with MEPO taking a 3-2 win. Action begins tonight at 4:30 at the Wellman Soccer Complex.
