The Mid-Prairie girls golf team was on the course both Monday and Tuesday of this week.

On Monday the Hawks traveled to Wahkonsa to take on the Wilton Beavers in a River Valley Conference dual. Mid-Prairie scored a 198-211 victory. The Hawks were led by meet medalist Paige Slabaugh with a 47. Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Kendra Schaefer with a 48, Abbi Patterson at 50, Emma Mattes with a 53, Georgia Nisly at 55 and Kenzie Bontrager with a 62.

Tuesday, the Golden Hawks traveled to Hunters Ridge in Cedar Rapids for the annual Linn-Mar Invitational. Mid-Prairie finished eighth of 13 teams with an overall score of 408 for the 18-hole event. Ankeny Centennial won the meet with a 342. The Golden Hawks were led by Slabaugh with a 95. Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Patterson with a 96, Nisly at 104, Schaefer with a 113, Mattes at 126 and Alison Yoder with a 127. Mid-Prairie will next be in action Monday when they travel to West Liberty for an RVC dual.
