With spring here, Washington residents and businesses are reminded that the city’s street sweeper will now be out cleaning downtown weekly.

Maintenance and Construction Superintendent JJ Bell states the street sweeper will clean downtown every Thursday evening. It will run from about 10 p.m. Thursday to 5:30 a.m. Friday. Parking downtown is not allowed during this time and may result in parking tickets. Signs will be set up each week to remind residents of the sweeping.
