The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team got the victory Thursday in their season opener at the Kalona Golf Course.

The Hawks beat Iowa City Liberty 216-246. Meet medalist was Mid-Prairie senior Paige Slabaugh with a 44.

Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Abbi Patterson with a 53, Emma Mattes with a 58, Kenzie Bontrager at 61, Abby Statler at 62 and Alison Yoder with a 70.
