Mid-Prairie senior basketball standout Addie Rath reached a milestone in Tuesday’s game at Wilton. Rath eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark as she finished with 22 in a 65-63 Golden Hawk loss to the Beavers.

Rath started her journey to 1,000 as a freshman, scoring seven points in her first varsity action, a 58-45 loss to the Fairfield Trojans on the road November 24th, 2014. She finished her freshman campaign with 144 points. She scored 283 points as a sophomore. She reached the 500 point mark early in her junior year scoring 17 points in a 45-32 win at Durant on December 17th of 2016. She finished with 329 points in her junior year. So far in her senior season she has scored a total of 231 points. Her career high for points in a game is 27, she has done that twice, in her junior year in a playoff win over Central Lee and this season in a December win over Williamsburg.

Rath is only the fourth player in the history of Golden Hawk girls basketball to reach the 1,000 point mark. She joins Emily Hershberger and Sarah and Rebecca Larsen in the feat. Mid-Prairie will next be in action Tuesday when they host West Liberty.
