The Winfield-Mt. Union basketball teams will get back on the court tonight when they welcome Mediapolis to town.

Injuries plagued the lady Wolves in the first half, as they sit at 5-5 on the season. With the loss of two of their top players, Lexee Hartsock will look pick up the slack averaging 14 points and six rebounds a game in the first half of the year. The Wolves will have their hands full against Mediapolis, as they are a perfect 8-0 on the season. Maya Johnson was big reason for their success with 24 points a contest including a remarkable 47% from behind the arc.

In the boys’ game both teams will be looking for their second win of the season. The 1-8 Wolves have had a boost from BJ Rodgers with 12 points a game. Cody McCreight adds seven points and six rebounds a game for WMU. Ben Wolgemuth leads the 1-6 Bulldogs with 14 points and 11 rebounds a contest.

The girls’ game gets started at 6 p.m. tonight with the boys’ to follow at Winfield-Mt. Union High School.
