The Highland football team finished the year with a 2-7 overall record with wins over North Mahaska and Van Buren.

The Huskies liked to throw the ball as junior quarterback Trey Lasek finished the year with the fifth-most passing yards in the district with 1,218 and eight touchdowns. His main target was Mason McFarland with 506 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Lasek also did some damage on the ground, leading the team with 561 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Highland averaged 15 points per contest.

Defensively Brady Hahn did his part leading the team with 48 tackles. Lasek added two interceptions including one for a touchdown.

The Huskies bring back a core group for next year only losing Riley Grecian and Kane Castillo to graduation.
