The Columbus Community (1-2) football team will look to cap off their homecoming week with a win when they entertain Louisa-Muscatine (1-2) tonight.

After winning their opening game the Wildcats will try to snap a two game losing skid. Abel Mena continues to lead the Wildcat offense with 406 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Look for the dual-threat quarterback to get the passing game going as the Falcons have given up over 100 yards in that category each of their three games. Mena has completed 12 of his 26 passes for 157 yards in the three contests. Tommy Pretz is his leading receiver with six receptions for 102 yards. Nick Hernandez leads the Wildcat defense with 21 tackles.

The Falcons are riding high after their first win of the season last week defeating Van Buren 36-6. The Wildcat secondary will have to be stout, as the Falcons like to air the ball out. Chase Kruse has been effective in his sophomore campaign under center, as he has completed 46 of his 67 pass attempts for 467 yards and two touchdowns. Kruse also leads the rushing attack with 186 yards. Cody Calvelage is a player to look out for defensively with 22 tackles.

The homecoming matchup gets started at 7 p.m. tonight at Columbus Community High School.
