In a South Iowa Cedar League showdown it was the Belle Plaine volleyball team that took care of business en route to a win over Sigourney in straight sets.

Belle Plaine won by scores of 25-14, 25-17, and 25-23. Despite the loss Brooke Waechter continues to be productive for the Savages managing eight kills in the contest. Leah Carter accounted for much of the scoring with 12 assists. Defensively Sydney Streigel led the Savages with eight digs.

With the win Belle Plaine improves to 6-4 as Sigourney drops to 2-4. The Savages get back on the court tomorrow at New Sharon for a tournament.
