Last week nearly nine percent of Iowa was in moderate drought, now that has increased to 16.2%.

Areas of Keokuk and Louisa counties are in moderate drought, as well as most of Henry and Jefferson counties. The southwest half of Washington County is abnormally dry. In total, 47.5% of the state is abnormally dry, down about five percent from last week. The dry areas of the state are located in the northwest corner, southeast and south central areas.
