A foot pursuit in Washington resulted in one man being arrested early Friday.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 12:46 a.m. dispatch received an open line 911 hang up call that sounded like a domestic situation on the other end. Dispatchers were able to call the phone back and a man said he was at a motel in the 1300 block of West Madison Street requesting an officer.

Two Washington County Sheriff’s deputies and three Washington Police officers responded to the scene. One officer was in a foot pursuit with a subject, and caught him by Highway 1. An ambulance was called for a subject who complained of eye pain. Washington County Ambulance responded but no transport was issued.

Officers arrested 25-year-old Monte Mclean of Silex, Missouri, for interference with official acts, public intoxication, and serious assault. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
