The precipitation so far in Washington for June is below normal, but heavy rainfall is in the forecast.

According to the National Weather Service, the normal precipitation amount for the first 19 days of June is nearly three inches and so far this month Washington has observed half an inch. Accuweather is calling for over two inches of rain between Wednesday and Saturday.

While the NWS reports low precipitation so far this June, temperatures have been higher than normal. The average maximum temperature is normally 80.2 degrees but has been 86.8 degrees these first three weeks of the month. The average temperature has been observed at 73.5 degrees, above the normal 69 degrees.
