Winning a conference title is no easy task. Winning it three years in a row is almost unheard of. Don’t tell that to the Washington girls’ golf team as they capped off their third straight Southeast Conference title  Monday.

Coming in as heavy favorites, the Demons lived up to the hype as they cruised to the win by shooting a team total of 359 strokes. Mount Pleasant came in second with 383. It was all business for Sarah Nacos as she did her normal thing by shooting a meet best 74 to claim conference medalist honors for the third straight year. Megan Strabala and Carly Burlingame each managed first team all conference bids as they tied for fifth with a 92. Allison Vogel rounded out the scoring for the Demons by picking up honorable mention honors with a 101.

With the conference feat checked off the list, the Demons turn the page as they now eye a third straight state title. The journey gets started on Monday for regionals in Waterloo.
