The Washington Demon boys and the Lone Tree Lion boys track teams took home team titles at the Ekstrand Relays Thursday at Roth Field in Wayland.

The Demons won the Class A Division with 150 points. Washington crowned four champions on the night. Sawyer Whisler won the 100 with a time of 12.49 seconds, Caleb Bex the 110 hurdles in 16.28 seconds, Ethan Hunt the 400 hurdles in 1:00.82 and the shuttle hurdle relay team was a winner in 1:04.17.

Mid-Prairie was second on the boys Class A side with 120 team points. The Golden Hawks had seven champions on the night. Marshal Teets won the 400 in 54.69 seconds, Cary Schaefer the 800 in 2:08.49, Peyton Miller took the mile in 4:49.17, Kyle Miller the high jump clearing 6′. In relay events Mid-Prairie got wins from the 4×800 in 8:48.18, the distance medley in 3:54.69 and the 4×400 at 3:45.19.

Lone Tree won the boys Class B division with 152 points. The Lions had four championships on the night. Jovonte Squiers won the 400 in 54.63 seconds and the long jump with a leap of 20’9.50”. Ross Swinton won the 3200 in 11:14.40 and Dawson Swails the shot put in 42’10”.

Winfield-Mt. Union was third out of eight teams in the Class B division with 90 points. The Wolves had five championships on the night. Bryce Robison won the 200 in 23.10 seconds, Brock Fricke the 1600 in 5:00.65, Bryant Holtkamp the discus the with a throw of 115’6”, Kolten Buster in the high jump clearing 6′ and the 4×100 team in a time of 46.07 seconds.

WACO was fourth with 68 points. The Warriors had three championship events on the night. Cornell Hulme won the 100 in 11.56 seconds, Colton Horak took the 400 hurdles in 59.43 seconds and the shuttle hurdle relay team won their event with a time of 1:01.63.

Highland was fifth with 60 points. The Huskies claimed the title in the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:56.40. IMS was eighth of eight teams with eight points. Adrian Gonzales took second in the long jump for Iowa Mennonite.
