The Brighton Chamber of Commerce is bringing a new event to Lake Darling for Halloween this year, that will show off the newest editions to the park. There will be a Fall Hike event Sunday from 2-4 p.m. that will start and end at the Lake Darling lodge, taking people down the paved trails to the new four-season cabins. Attendees can wear their costumes, but it’s not required to take part in the free event. Along the trail, people can stop and collect treats in addition to taking in the scenery.

Chamber member Nancy Adrian says the hike isn’t too long or strenuous, so it will be good for those with young trick-or-treaters. However, there are also additional trails people can take if they want to extend their walk. She adds, the hike isn’t too structured, so people can feel free to walk what they feel comfortable with. Adrian says Lake Darling is especially scenic around Halloween, and this event will give people a chance to relax, have fun, and enjoy it. The chamber would like to make this an annual event moving forward, so Adrian is hopeful for a big turn-out.
