This week the Washington County Engineer’s Office began work to repair the bridge on 315th Street, west of Kiwi Avenue. The road is south of Washington and northeast of Brighton, and is now closed to thru traffic while it is under construction. The project is intended to remove the weight restrictions on the bridge, and consists of driving additional piling and installing supplemental bents just inside existing abutments. The work is expected to be completed within two or three weeks, depending on cooperation from the weather. Any questions should be directed to the Washington County Engineer’s Office at 653-7731.
