St. James School in Washington will have a special visitor Friday. Bishop Amos is visiting the school for its 150th anniversary celebration. At 8:30 a.m. Mass will be held with the Bishop, followed by the blessing of the school doors and classrooms. Parents are welcome to attend any or all of the activities Friday. St. James Elementary School currently has classes for preschool through fifth grade students. Catholic education in Washington began in 1866.
