The Clear Creek Amana football team will be on the road tonight in a rare Thursday contest when they battle Davenport Assumption at Brady Street Stadium in the Quad Cities.

The Clippers enter this week ranked No. 12 in the latest Associated Press class 3A Iowa football poll. CCA is 6-1 on the year, suffering their first loss of the season last week at Marion 15-14 in overtime. On the year the Clippers are led by Ashton Carpenter through the air, he is 27 of 52 for 265 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. His favorite target is Cory Siders with 10 catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. On the ground Matt Brimeyer and Jared Eckrich have combined for 894 yards and 10 touchdowns on 155 carries.

Davenport Assumption enters tonight’s game with a 5-2 overall record. Last week they beat Center Point-Urbana 34-19. On the year the Knights are led by Jayce Levy in the passing game. He is 36 of 61 for 653 yards six touchdowns and one interception. His favorite target is Ryan Wohlers with 15 catches for 331 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground Justus Burke has 921 yards and 11 touchdowns on 117 carries.

These two teams met a year ago in Tiffin with Assumption winning 37-14. Action begins tonight at Brady Street Stadium at 7:30.
