The Washington Public Library is gearing up for a program-packed March, following a busy February. February events at the library included a life-size Candy Land game that had over 200 people in attendance. Director of the library, Debbie Stanton shares they’re starting off March with poetry. Dr. Jan Hodge will have carmina figurata, or poetry shaped to make pictures, on display in the Helen Wilson gallery starting this weekend through the end of the month. Stanton adds he’ll also be involved in the Writer’s Workshop this Saturday and he’ll hold a poetry reading Sunday. Dr. Hodge is a retired professor of literature and he taught at Morningside College.
