Washington has received multiple inches of snow this week and residents of the City of Washington are reminded to clear their sidewalks. According to the city’s snow ordinance, public sidewalks should be clear of all snow and ice accumulation within 24 hours after the snow has stopped falling or ice has formed. Building and zoning official for the City of Washington Steve Donnolly says it’s important in areas where many people walk, like the downtown area and around schools and grocery stores.

Partly cloudy skies with warmer temperatures are in the forecast for the rest of the week, listen to KCII for weather updates.
