An instructor at the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center has received an award for service. Chad Dillon, a teacher in the alternative high school program, received the Distinguished Service Award at the college’s Employee Recognition Ceremony earlier this month. The award is presented to Kirkwood employees who have exemplified what it means to be a great employee, for a variety of reasons. Dillon has worked at Kirkwood Community College for 17 years.
The Washington Regional Alternative Program, or WRAP, had five students graduate last May and 15 students completed at least six credits. WRAP was formerly the ASSURE Center and now serves students from Washington, Highland, Keota, Lone Tree and WACO school districts.
